Injury Updates: Arsenal's Calafiori and Djabi's Condition
Stay updated on the injury statuses of Arsenal's Riccardo Calafiori and Midtjylland's Alamara Djabi as their situations develop.

Calafiori's Uncertain Return
Arsenal's title ambitions are facing a significant challenge as defender Riccardo Calafiori remains sidelined with an injury. The Italian international missed the recent 2-1 defeat against Manchester City and is doubtful for the upcoming match against Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium.
Reports indicate that the specifics of Calafiori's injury are unclear, with some sources suggesting he is dealing with a foot injury. This has raised concerns among fans and management alike, especially considering the pivotal stage of the season as Arsenal competes for the Champions League title.
Calafiori has been a crucial part of Arsenal’s defense this season, making 31 appearances across all competitions. However, his absence has been felt keenly, as he has missed 12 matches due to various injuries. His last appearance came during the Champions League quarter-final first leg against Sporting CP on April 7, where he played the full match.
As the Gunners prepare for their clash with Newcastle, the uncertainty surrounding Calafiori's fitness could impact their defensive strategy and overall performance in a match that is critical for their title hopes.
Djabi's Recovery After Stabbing Incident
In a separate incident, Alamara Djabi, a midfielder for Midtjylland, is currently recovering in stable condition after being seriously injured in a stabbing incident in Denmark. The 19-year-old, who joined Midtjylland from Benfica's academy in 2023, was involved in a violent episode early Sunday morning in Herning, where the club is based.
Djabi underwent emergency surgery and has since had another operation, with reports confirming that he has awakened from an induced coma. Midtjylland officials stated that his condition is stable, and he is doing well under the circumstances.
This unfortunate event has cast a shadow over the club, which is currently competing for the Danish Superliga title, sitting second just two points behind AGF. Djabi, who has made two senior appearances for Midtjylland this season, had previously spent time on loan at CD Mafra in Portugal.
As Djabi continues to recover, the football community remains hopeful for his swift return to health, although his immediate future with the team remains uncertain.
