How we choose the must win teams

Every match gets a home win, draw and away win probability from one model: bookmaker odds turned into fair probabilities, our own team-strength ratings, recent form, goals scored and conceded, and team news. A team is listed here only when its win probability is 70% or higher.

70% is strong, not certain. Over many matches, picks at that level still lose about three times in ten – usually to a draw. That is why the draw percentage sits next to every pick.

Combining several of these teams in one accumulator multiplies the risk: three 75% picks all win only about 42% of the time. Our full prediction page for each match shows the double-chance and correct-score view if you want a safer angle.

Every prediction is published before kick-off and settled afterwards on our public track record, wins and losses alike. We do not sell "sure" or "fixed" tips – anyone who does is selling a lie.

What are must win teams today?

Teams our model rates very likely to win their match today: a win probability of 70% or more. The list covers every league we predict, home and away teams alike.

Will every must win team win?

No. A 70% pick loses about three times in ten, and an 80% pick about one time in five. The percentages are shown so you can judge each pick yourself.

How often is the list updated?

Every 15 minutes. Probabilities move when odds, line-ups or team news change, so a team can join or drop off the list before kick-off.

Why are there so few teams on some days?

We do not fill the list to a fixed number. On days with many close games only a handful of teams reach 70% – our 10 teams to win today page always lists ten, with their real chances.

Are these predictions free?

Yes. Every pick, probability and most likely score on this page is free, with no sign-up.
